Women Speak Up About Stanford Case

Talk about women supporting other women. First, the 23 year-old victim of a 2015 sexual assault writes a moving statement that she reads aloud to her assailant in court. The statement so hauntingly captures her experience that it gives voice to every woman who has ever been a victim of sexual assault. Next, CNN host Ashleigh Banfield gives over 20 minutes of airtime to reading nearly the entire statement aloud. Then Lydia O’Connor, a Huffington Post reporter, acknowledges Ashleigh’s dedication as a “moving stand against silencing rape victims” and publishes a piece about her act. Please forward Lydia’s article to keep paying it forward.
