If we have learned anything from this election, it's proof of the theory that men will apply for a job if they have 2 of the 10 qualifications and still have the confidence they can get the job. Women can see that same job posting and have 8 out of the 10 qualifications and automatically try to compensate for the 2 qualifications she won't have. Ladies, round up. The next time there's an opportunity that you're thinking about going for, throw your imperfect hat in the ring. You're likely to be more qualified than the guy next to you whose hat is already in it. We can't sit on the sidelines any more. You may not get the job, but we can change workplace culture for good if we all just go for it.
